EuclidApprentice

Two circles of radius 4 and 9 sit on a line and touch each other. How far apart are their centres along the line?

The centres are 4 + 9 = 13 apart. Their heights differ by 9 − 4 = 5. Pythagoras finds the rest.

r = 4 r = 9 x

The journey

16 epochs, from the pyramids to the qubit

Each epoch is a set of short puzzles in the ideas of its time. Finish one and the next opens, along with a reward card and the story of how those ideas were found. Every epoch is free.

Discoveries

Learn how each idea was discovered

Every epoch you finish unlocks a short story: who worked it out, what problem they were trying to solve, and what it led to. From Egyptian scribes measuring fields to Euclid’s Elements to the first transistor.
